How to reverse the door on a display refrigerator
Most display refrigerators in our range have a glass door that can be moved from being right-hung to being left-hung. Typically it is right-hung from "birth".
It may be a good idea to reverse the door to accommodate the space in your room, or if you need two freestanding cabinets to stand next to each other (side-by-side).
You can turn the door yourself, but it requires two people to do the job. That's why many of our customers choose to let us do it before we deliver. It costs 595 DKK excl. VAT per cabinet.
Here is an example of how to do it on one of our refrigerators:
- Loosen screws from hinge.
- Lift the door while tilting it and remove it.
- Move the top hinge from the right to the left side.
- Move the lower hinge and protective plate from the right to the left side.
- Pull out the lower split and place on the left side.
- Put the door in split.
- Tilt door inwards from the left.
- Insert the hinge screw with a screwdriver.
- Remove the screws from the handle and move it to the left side.
There is a side-by-side solution if you want a freezer or wine cabinet standing next to each other in the same design. Here it makes sense for one to open on the right and the other on the left.
