The requirement is, as a rule of thumb, that you must choose a refrigerator with a ventilated refrigerator and a maximum of 5 °C. However, there are certain foods where the requirement is no more than 2 °C (raw fish and long-life meat), while vegetables are actually best at 10 °C (refrigeration).
Considerations before purchase
- You have to make sure that the size is right and that it can stand where it is intended and at the same time fit through the door.
- There is space around the fridge so it can get rid of the heat.
- Check the climate class if the room temperature is above 25 degrees where it is to be placed. (If above, choose minimum climate class 4)
- Choose an energy-friendly product. You can save a lot of money (Energy label is a legal requirement)
- Choose a model that is quiet. There is a big difference between the models.
- Check shelf measurements. GN 2/1 (65 x 53 cm) is standard for commercial kitchens
- Choose a stainless model if the cupboard takes a lot of knocks on the outside and inside (the Food and Drug Administration is not happy with internal marks)
- Consider whether you need to use a foot pedal so that you always have one hand free.
- Consider a model with a self-closing door (up to 90 degrees) if there are many users
- Ventilated refrigeration is a legal requirement for food.
- If it is to be built in, you must ensure that it can get rid of the heat (put a grate at the height of the compressor so that air can pass through)

Delivery is made to the curb! You have to carry it in and unpack it yourself. Just remember to take into account the doorway and that it can physically enter. If you want two men to carry a cupboard in, we can offer it for a price between DKK 1,200 and DKK 1,995 excl. VAT If it is a smaller, simple cupboard and there are no stairs, it can sometimes be done for DKK 495 excl. VAT But it requires in both cases that we measure the door and see pictures of the door and possibly stairs. We can offer the driver to call 30 – 60 minutes before he arrives with the goods, if you are not always in the store or it is a new opening.
A commercial refrigerator is switched on around the clock. Therefore, it may be worthwhile to look at the power consumption. You can save a lot of money by choosing a cabinet with a lower consumption. You can save between DKK 500 and 1000 by buying an energy-friendly cabinet. If you multiply the annual kW consumption by DKK 2, you get a good idea of what it costs to have the refrigerator running for a year. The consumption stated in the product description is the maximum consumption and the majority of the refrigerators have been tested, and the daily consumption has been measured under realistic conditions. Often the cheapest cupboard will be the most expensive over time, and therefore you have to calculate the lifetime costs of the cupboard (we can also help you with this). This means that an expensive cabinet like GRAM will often be a better investment, as it will not take many years for it to pay for itself in saved electricity costs.
As standard, the door is right-hinged and opens to the right. On most cabinets, the door can be reversed. It may be a good idea to reverse the door for reasons of space, or if you have to have two individual cupboards to stand next to each other. You can do it yourself, but it requires two people. That is why many of our customers choose to let us do it. It costs DKK 498 ex VAT per cabinet.
