Consider a height-adjustable stainless steel table

Varying work requires different working heights - and users are rarely the same height. Therefore, it is most practical if the most important work tables are height-adjustable (60 - 120 cm).

Stainless steel tables for many purposes

A stainless steel work table is both easy to clean and a durable solution that works in many respects:

  • Work table in a commercial kitchen, pastry shop, fish shop, butcher's shop, and cheese shop
  • Packing table
  • Work table in a workshop/utility room
  • Work table for use in courses/education

Whatever you are looking for, we can find a solution for you.

Custom-made stainless steel tables to your specifications

To make the best use of the space, many choose to have a custom-made stainless steel table. We can offer solid work tables with adjustable feet in very good quality stainless steel (AISI 304)*. The tables are food-approved and can also be delivered with a certificate. The tables can be made in a length of up to 280 cm as standard, but please inquire about even longer tables. Stainless steel tables between 200 and 280 cm have six legs to increase stability. For the same reason, these tables will also have crossbars/braces between the rear legs. The legs measure 4 x 4 cm. The legs can be adjusted up to 2.5 cm in height and can be made a maximum of 1 cm lower. Adjustable legs should be seen as a way to make the table stable if the floor is uneven. If you or your employees are tall, it is better to make the table higher and not use the adjustable legs, as they make the table less stable when fully extended.

*If the table needs to be acid-resistant, it must be of a different quality (Steel 316). We can provide a certificate for the quality.

Advantages of stainless steel

  • Stainless steel is corrosion-resistant because it has a protective film. If the steel surface is damaged physically or chemically, the film quickly regenerates after the source of the damage is removed.
  • Therefore, stainless steel requires no other protection against corrosion. If the steel is properly maintained, the surface remains shiny and bright, even after long use.
  • It is practical, attractive, and durable.
  • Can be used in various environments and is completely non-toxic. The surface does not absorb the food it comes into contact with, nor the chemical cleaning agents it is cleaned with.
  • You get a hard and smooth surface that is easy to clean and resistant to the formation of various biofilms. This is precisely why stainless steel meets very high hygiene standards.
  • Stainless steel is resistant to low and high temperatures. It is resistant to thermal shocks - rapid and significant temperature changes.

Stainless steel must be continuously maintained and cleaned to keep the surface in good condition (aesthetic appearance and corrosion resistance).

How should you continuously care for the steel?

Cleaning agents can be supplied by specialized surface care companies.

Stainless steel should always be cleaned (polished) along the grain, not across.

Sources of oxidation, fingerprints, and other marks can be cleaned with soapy water or with a special mild cleaning agent and a soft cloth or a piece of suede. You can apply the soap with a spray bottle to evenly cover the surface with a thin layer. This removes fingerprints and dirt and also prevents the accumulation of dirt. Depending on the cleaning agent, the surface must then be polished with a dry cloth or simply wiped off.

Stubborn marks can be cleaned with nylon and special stainless steel cleaners that remove limescale and rust. After cleaning, detergent residues must be washed off with distilled water, and the surface must be dried to prevent water spots.

Very stubborn dirt can be cleaned with stainless steel cleaners containing phosphoric acid. After use, wash off the residues with distilled water or high-pressure spray jets, and if possible, wipe the surface dry.

To ensure hygiene in a professional kitchen, it is recommended to clean stainless steel surfaces daily.

Avoid problems with your steel table

  • Do not use abrasive powder, as it can scratch the surface!
  • Do not use abrasive sponges and metal wire sponges, steel wool, or metal brushes.
  • Do not clean the surface across the polishing direction!
  • Do not use cleaning agents containing chlorides (especially hydrochloric acid) to clean stainless steel surfaces. If such products are accidentally used, wash the surface with fresh water and clean with special cleaning agents that remove oxides and other compounds!
